In the northern county of Samburu, Kenya, nomadic tribespeople are facing the challenge of settling down in a modern world where foraging and gathering food is no longer a viable option. To address this issue, the Mzizi Community Development Organization was formed to teach the tribe how to grow crops and become self-sufficient. In addition to supporting agricultural initiatives, the organization also provides assistance to orphans and promotes education and health-related programs.

Lisa and Msammy from Mzizi have submitted an application to the Project Nightfall Philanthropy requesting funding to protect vulnerable members of the tribe from malaria, a common mosquito-borne disease. While the organization has other ongoing projects, the $1000 grant from Project Nightfall will be primarily allocated towards purchasing and distributing blankets and mosquito nets.

Msammy expresses his gratitude for the grant, stating that he is thrilled and grateful for the opportunity to receive assistance from Project Nightfall. The contribution will have a significant impact on the lives of those in need.

We are honored to be able to help these causes and express our sincere gratitude to the Nightfam for their continued support. Although the request may seem simple, it addresses real needs that can save lives. Our progress would not be possible without the generous contributions of our supporters.

Project Nightfall Organization is donating a generator so that Congo Environnement Et Nature (CEN) will finally get their water pumps working. Through this effort, more trees will be planted and nearby households will also have access to clean water!

The goal of CEN is to champion sustainable environment management and fight against climate change. True enough, they have succeeded in their first steps in educating students and grown-ups alike about reforestation and involved them in planting trees. The next major step is to supply water for their seedlings and also share the water with those who live in the area. The other challenge: the location has no electricity source for the water tanks to function.

Nightfam, what we appreciate about organizations like these is not only their hard work but also their transparency. This way, we can easily see how awesome their projects are and we can share them with you, the people behind our ability to support causes from all over the globe!

Alfred Mutua is a certified medic who volunteered in rescue agencies and also professionally worked as a paramedic in Kenya. One day, he got into an accident and received immediate care from regular people who were around at the time. This made him realize that one way to pay the kindness forward is to train people in the community to help save even more lives. With this vision, he created a community-based Emergency Medical Services agency.

Project Nightfall Organization has funded one of his biggest projects so far – a tricycle ambulance! This will help him reach more remote areas and also get him to places much faster. He knows that transportation can greatly improve their emergency responses. We are so glad to be a part of his beautiful mission!
